Itinerary  Highlights

Day 1: Arrive Windhoek / Waterberg
On arrival at Windhoek International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the Britz depot, where you will collect your hired 4x4 vehicle. Depart Windhoek, heading north travelling through Okahandja and the Waterberg Nature Reserve. The Waterberg Plateau is one of the most spectacular features of the northern region. Towering some 200 metres above the surrounding landscape, the plateau with its sheer cliffs and fascinating rock formations is the habitat and breeding ground to several rare game species.

Day 2: Waterberg / Etosha
Leaving the Waterberg, travel through Tsumeb and onto Etosha National Park. Etosha National Park is one of Africa's great game parks. Etosha owes its unique landscape to the Etosha Pan, a vast shallow depression. A series of water-holes along the edge of the pan guarantee rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. Spend the next 4 nights exploring this amazing landscape. Etosha has 3 rest camps, Namutoni in the east, Halali in the middle and Okaukuejo in the west of the park. At each camp there is a waterhole for game watching, and at night the waterhole is floodlit.

Day 3 - 5: Etosha National Park
Spend the days viewing the variety of wildlife and exploring the waterholes along this enormous saltpan.

Day 6: Etosha / Palmwag
Today you leave behind Etosha, and travel through Outjo, Kamanjab and onto Palmwag, where you will spend the night.  Waving palms, spectacular scenery, desert adapted elephant and black rhino are found in this rugged beauty.

Day 7: Palmwag / Khorixas
Today, take your time travelling to Khorixas as the scenery is really worth it. Suggest you stop at Twyfelfontein to view the rock paintings, and close by is the Petrified Forest, where giant tree trunks have turned to stone.

Day 8: Khorixas / Spitzkoppe
Today travel south through Uis and onto Spitzkoppe, stopping along the way at Brandberg, to visit 'The White Lady' rock painting.

Day 9: Spitzkoppe / Swakopmund
Depart Spitzkoppe and proceed further south-wards, stopping along the way at Cape Cross, which is famous for its seal colonies. From here continue south along the Namibian coast-line to Swakopmund.

Day 10: Swakopmund
Spend the day exploring this quaint seaside village. Suggest you visit Walvis Bay and board the seal and dolphin cruise, alternatively for the more adventurous enjoy quad biking through the boundless expanse of shifting dunes.

Day 11: Swakopmund / Sossusvlei
Today travel via Walvis Bay, Solitaire onto Sesriem. Suggest you stay at Sossusvlei River Campsite, which is located about 15km south at Sesriem gate.  This will allow you easy access into Namib Naukluft Park in the early morning, to view the dunes.

Day 12: Sossusvlei
Today travel into Namib Naukluft Park to view the highest dunes in the world. Suggest you spend a full day in the park, taking in all the scenery, and even walking up these magnificent dunes.

Day 13: Sossusvlei / Windhoek
After leaving the dunes behind travel through Rehoboth, onto Windhoek. Suggest you spend your last night at Daan Viljoen Game Reserve, located just outside of Windhoek. This park is comparatively small, but it is sanctuary to a relatively large population of game, such as kudu, springbok, gemsbok, eland and so much more.

Day 14: Depart Windhoek
This morning drop your vehicle off at the Britz 4x4 depot. From here you will be transferred to Windhoek International Airport for your onward flight.
