The camp comprises 4 well-appointed tents with great views of the spectacular floodplain in front of the camp. The main areas of the camp include a dining room and bar beautifully situated under a canopy of majestic trees. Most meals are served out in the open for guests to immerse themselves and appreciate their natural surroundings - food just tastes better outdoors!
The camp is nestled within a well vegetated island of trees, and is perfectly situated to take in large numbers of plains game and their predators, lying as it does at the centre of the territory of a resident pride of lions! Day and night drives are offered.
KAFUE NATIONAL PARK This is the largest Zambian National Park, covering an area of 22 500 square kilometres (the size of Wales), with over 150 species of mammal recorded in the park. Renowned for regular sightings of lion as well as leopard, wild dog, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, hippo and large numbers of plains game from zebra, wildebeest, lechwe, puku and sable... you will not be disappointed. The birding too is phenomenal. The Basunga Plains in the northern section of Kafue, where Busanga Bush Camp is located, is a vast mosaic of grassy seasonal floodplains and 'dambos' (open grassy areas that occassionally fill with rainwater) that support a fantastic variety of wildlife.
