Itinerary  Highlights

Day 1: (Sat) Chobe National Park  (LD)
We depart the Kazangula Border Post between 08h30 and 09h00 and proceed to the small town of Kasane for the opportunity to purchase any personal beverages, as there are no shops within the Chobe National Park. After a short briefing, we commence on an exhilarating 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National Park, easily one of the highlights of this trip. From aboard our river safari, one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic bird life, hippo, crocodiles and of course, scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. On arrival at 'white sands' you will be welcomed by your guide for the remainder of your safari and we proceed further on a game drive to our 'wilderness' camp site. After a hearty lunch and some time to 'settle' into your tents we embark on an afternoon safari (in open game drive vehicles), this being the best time of day to see Chobe's large herbivores making their way down to the river. We return to camp shortly after sunset for dinner and evening drinks around the camp fire.

Day 2: (Sun) Chobe National Park  (BD)
This morning we wake you at dawn with a friendly Botswana 'dumela' (good day) with warm water in your basins, to freshen up. After a quick cup of tea or coffee, we head off on an early morning safari, again in open 4x4 vehicles. This is the best time of day for searching for the big cats as they are still active and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid morning we return to camp for a delicious 'bush brunch', followed by a siesta to escape the heat of the day. As it starts to cool off, we head out for another afternoon safari in search of further wildlife activity. the Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game, from all of Africa's cats, wild dog, hyena and many other predators like side striped jackal, to large herbivores with elephant and buffalo being a highlight. Chobe is renowned for the largest elephant population in Africa. Elephants are huge leviathans of the bush, yet such gentle 'family orientated' creatures and you will certainly get to view these giants in great numbers. There are also the rarer game in Chobe, like puku and roan antelope, along with many more common antelope on offer too. Once again return to camp after sunset for dinner to reflect on the day whilst being accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.

Day 3: (Mon) Chobe National Park  (B)
Another 'dumela' dawn wake up and after a scrumptious cooked breakfast we ensure all your luggage is securely packed before heading out of the park on our final safari within this astounding nature sanctuary. This last drive may even prove to be the best yet... and will with all your other safaris drives in Chobe, remain etched in memory as a truly great African experience. Return to Kazungula by 09h00 where the tour ends.

The Chobe National Park is home to a variety of antelope species - viewed here are Lechwe
