 Skukuza, Mopani, Berg-en-dal, Pretoriuskop, Lower Sabie, Satara, Olifants, Letaba, Punda Maria, Crocodile Bridge, Orpen and Shingwedzi are the names of the many larger restcamps within the jewel in South Africa's crown - the Kruger National Park !

Guest Houses: 3 or 4 bedroom units within a restcamp. Each guesthouse has a fully equipped kitchen and a communal lounge/living room or an open patio. Most have en-suite bathrooms.
Guest Cottages: Units with 2 or 3 bedrooms and at least two bathrooms of which one is en-suite. The kitchens are fully-equipped. Available at Skukuza, Olifants, Lower Sabie, Pretoriuskop, Letaba, Shingwedzi, and Mopani and also at all five of the bushveld camps.
Family Cottages: Units with 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom and a partially equipped kitchen. Available at Skukuza, Berg-en-dal, Pretoriuskop, Olifants, Letaba and Mopani.
Bungalow: 1 bedroom units, each with a bathroom. Some of the units have their own kitchenettes, while others share communal kitchen facilities. Units with cooking facilities have basic kitchen equipment. Available at Berg-en-dal, Crocodile Bridge, Letaba, Lower Sabie, Olifants, Pretoriuskop, Punda Maria, Satara, Skukuza and Malelane camp.
Bush Lodges: Exclusive private lodges, all with a unique style and atmosphere, provide the opportunity for tourists to enjoy complete privacy as only residents are allowed entrance to the camp. There are no shops or restaurant facilities, but the kitchen has a gas stove with oven, refrigerator, freezer, cutlery and crockery. Gas braais and barbecue facilities are provided.
Safari Tents: New luxurious Safari Tents at Lower Sabie and Tamboti offer private bathrooms and catering facilities.

The park offers a wide variety of accommodation types. In addition to the main rest camps of Skukuza, Mopani, Berg-en-dal, Pretoriuskop, Lower Sabie, Satara, Olifants, Letaba, Punda Maria, Crocodile Bridge, Orpen and Shingwedzi, there are also intimate smaller bush camps and bush lodges and several satellite camps such as Tamboti, Maroela, Balule and Malelane.
All accommodation units are serviced daily and bedding, towels and soap are provided. Most of the units have either air-conditioning or fans. Barbecue and communal cooking facilities are available in all the camps. There are also several luxury concession lodges. Resident visitors may use the swimming pool at Berg-en-dal, Pretoriuskop, Lower Sabie, Punda Maria, Shingwedzi and Skukuza (3 Pools).
Thompsons are unique in that we have 10 reserved chalets within the Pretoriuskop Camp. We also have a dedicated host at the camp to attend to our guests needs - a private touch that makes as big difference !
