• Kruger has many rest camps spread throughout the Park, with a variety of accommodation options.
• There are 12 main rest camps, 5 bushveld camps, 2 bush lodges and 4 satellite camps. 
• Within each camp there is also a unique selection of accommodation types.

Pretoriuskop Rest Camp is 'fairly' close to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (approx 45 minutes to 1 hour from the airport), and is a lovely rest camp which we at Thompsons Africa regularly promote.  Pretoriuskop is one of the busiest rest camps in Kruger, due to it's 'easy driving distance' from Kruger Mpumalanga International Aiport and it's many facilities.  However, Thompsons Africa work with all the rest camps within Kruger, depending on which rest camp suits your itinerary best.  Other 'Thompsons favorites' include Skukuza and Berg-end-dal. 

Most frequently used accommodation types:

• Bungalow - Twin units with bathroom.  Some have communal kitchens whilst others have their own kitchenettes with basic kitchen equipment.  Some bungalows have perimeter or river views, whereas other bungalows are situated further within the rest camp complex and will not have a specific view per say.  The 10 units that Thompsons Africa maintains at Pretoriuskop rest camp are bungalows with attached kitchenette.
• Cottage - Twin units with living room, bathroom and kitchen.
• Family Cottage - Multiple bedroom units with living room, bathroom and kitchen. 
• Guest Cottage - Multiple bedroom units with lounge area and exclusive view.
• Luxury Lodges - Luxury units, that offer privacy and comfort.

***  There are other more basic accommodation options, from safari tents to huts and camp sites found throughout the length of the Kruger Park.  There are also overnight adventure trails, eco and wilderness trails, and should you wish to know further information pertaining to camping or hiking in Kruger, please do speak to one of our Consultants.

• Throughout the Park all accommodation, ablution and kitchen facilities are serviced by cleaning staff on a daily basis.
• Bedding is provided in all accommodation.
• Cooking utensils and refrigeration are provided in most accommodation units.
