147 km | ** Please do bear in mind, that once you have reached the gate entrance to Kruger, which is nearest to your rest camp of choice, you will still need to travel within the Park to reach your rest camp. The speed limit within all National Parks is fairly slow for the safety of the wildlife. This additional travel time will also add to your ETA at your choice of rest camp. The distances calculated above are approximate and are based on the shortest route, travelling at the legal speed limit. You will also need to allow time for rest stops en route.
SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL PARKS CONSERVATION LEVY All passengers are required to pay a Conservation Levy per person upon entering any National Park in South Africa. The levy is used by National Parks to maintain roads, paths, fences, bridges, camps etc. within the reserve and also to asssist in conservation efforts undertaken by the National Parks of South Africa. Clients staying outside of the National Park and entering the Park in their own hired vehicle will be charged a daily Conservation Levy. One can access the Park throughout the day on this 'ticket'. Clients staying within the National Park will be required to pay this levy per night.
