Twyfelfontein Country Lodge is located about 100km west of the small town of Khorixas. It is within 5kms of the historic Twyfelfontein site, which has the highest concentration of rock engravings in Southern Africa, and is also within easy reach of Burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Petrified Forest. 450km from Windhoek International Airport and 320km from Swakopmund.

Accommodation

The lodge has 56 en-suite double rooms with overhead fans.

A reception, lounge, curio shop, open dining room, bar and swimming pool make up the main areas of the lodge. Care was taken during the construction to reduce the visual impact on the environment, with the use of thatch roofs, natural stone and paint colours toning in with the surrounding rock formations. Guided nature drives in search of elephant, welwitschia and commiphora (endemic desert plant species) and the Herero chat (bird) are available.
