Day 1: Arrive Cape Town (LD)
On arrival at Cape Town Airport, a Thompsons representative meets you, and assists you to collect your hired vehicle.  Begin your eco-exploration. Depending on your choice of area, you could be introduced to the wonders of the fynbos at Grootbos, as you take a meandering path through an ancient Milkwood forest, where thousand-year-old trees still survive. Alternatively explore the immense open plains, deep ravines, spectacular waterfalls and prehistoric rock formations which characterize the Bushmans Kloof region, nestled between the majestic mountains of the Cederberg and the vast plains of the Great Karoo.

Day 2: Grootbos / Bushmanskloof (BLD)
Grootbos Private Nature Reserve offers the best land-based whale watching in the world. Huge Southern Right Whales come here to calve and loll around in the breakers just a few metres off shore. Boat trips also reveal huge sea bird colonies and Cape Fur seals. Bushmans Kloof is a unique and unspoiled area, once the hunting ground of the intrepid San, and now home to an incredible variety of wildlife and plant species. The San rock art tours provide an insight into an ancient culture that has been lost forever.

Day 3: Depart (B)
Return to Cape Town after breakfast today, and drop off your hire car at Cape Town International Airport.
