Day 1: Cape Town / Springbok / Port Nolloth
Collect your hired vehicle and make your way via Springbok onto Port Nolloth, where you will overnight in a quaint sea-side guest house. Port Nolloth is a small harbour town which is known for its crayfish and diamonds.
Day 2: Port Nolloth / /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld
Depart Port Nolloth onto Alexander Bay, where you can visit the estuary of the Orange River, which was once a restricted diamond mining area, now it is open to the public. From Alexander Bay continue onto Richtersveld National Park. Overnight in one of the rest camps located within the park.
Day 3: /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld
Explore the park on drives or on foot. The Richtersveld is regarded as one of the world’s most prolific and richest succulent areas, nurturning 30% of South Africa’s succulent species, including 3 quiver tree species.
Day 4: /Ai-/Ais Richtersveld / Springbok
Depart this morning after enjoying a few days in this amazing species rich arid World Heritage Site, making your way towards Springbok. Springbok is known as the town of diamonds, copper and spring flowers. Tonight stay at a quiant guest house within the heart of the Namaqualand, Springbok.
Day 5: Springbok / Cape Town
This morning after a hearty breakfast, make your way back to Cape Town International Airport in time for your onward flight, after enjoying the vast expanse of open space in this most spectacular arid desert.
