Day 1: Johannesburg / Tzaneen
On arrival at OR Tambo (Johannesburg) International Airport, you will be met and assisted to collect your hired vehicle. Make your way northwards onto Tzaneen, which has a beautiful mountainous terrain.
Day 2: Tzaneen / Mapungubwe National Park Area
Drive on to Mapunguwe National Park (Mapungubwe means a place of the stone of wisdom), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, giving tangible proof by way of the rich fossil deposits, Bushman rock art and gold artifacts, of ancient civilizations that once flourished here.
Day 3: Mapungubwe National Park Area
The park offers a breathtaking view of the Limpopo-Shashe Rivers confluence; a tree-top board-walk that allows visitors access to the Limpopo River and a bird hide at Manoutswa pan.
Day 4: Mapungubwe National Park/Pont Drift Border Post/Tuli Game Reserve
After breakfast, depart for Pont Drift Border Post, where you will be collected and transferred to your game lodge. It is a place of exceptional beauty where one can explore the rugged, unspoilt African landscapes either in the comfort of open 4-wheel drive vehicles, on a walking safari, on mountain bicycles, or horse back, guided by expert rangers and experienced trackers.
Day 5 & 6: Tuli Game Reserve
It is still home to large herds of elephant, prides of lion and cheetah. Guests can also enjoy the historic and archaeological sites that abound; notable are the Motloutse Ruins and the Pitsani Koppie sites.
Day 7: Tuli Game Reserve / Johannesburg
After breakfast you are transferred back to Pont Drift Border Post, where you collect your hired vehicle and make your way back to Johannesburg.
