The satellite navigation system (GPS - Global Positioning System) plugs
into a car’s cigarette lighter point and is operated through a touch screen
mechanism. You simply have to enter your destination into the unit and
will be guided with turn-by-turn directions on screen and voice prompts
to your destination. Available in 43 languages. |

Please Note: Should you require car hire in Mozambique, Avis Rent
a Car Mozambique has a full range of car types available to you,
with locations in Maputo, Maputo Airport and Beira. We are also able
to assist with car hire in Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Please

• Renters must carry a Driver’s Licence or a valid unendorsed driver’s licence with English translation and photograph.
• International Drivers Licence.
• The minimum rental age is 18 years and the driver must have been in possesion of a valid drivers licence for a minimum of 1 year.
• There is no maximum rental age, however, Personal Accident Insurance is not included for persons over the age of 75 years.
• It is a legal requirement in Southern Africa to be in possession of your drivers licence at all times whilst driving a vehicle.
• Over Border Rentals: Clients wishing to enter a country other than the country of rental, must be in possession of a Letter of Authority from Avis, obtainable from Avis when you pick up your vehicle.
• The minimum rental period is 1 day and calculates on a 24 hour cycle, which starts from the time of collection. Should a vehicle be returned late, the renter will be charged for an additional day at the extension rates which will have to be settled direct with Avis on return of the vehicle.
• A credit card is required on collection of the vehicle - authorisation for the fuel deposit, and additional extra charges. Excess amounts will be taken off of your credit card if applicable.
