Day 1: Arrive Cape Town
On arrival at Cape Town International Airport a Thompsons Representative will meet and assist you to collect your hired car. Travel to the ‘French Quarter’ – Franschhoek – situated in the beautiful Cape Winelands. Franschhoek was founded in 1688 on land granted to the French Huguenots. The green valleys and rolling vineyards are surrounded by mountain ranges, while the town itself boasts many historic homesteads and monuments, the most famous of which is the Huguenot Memorial.
Day 2: Franschhoek
Spend a day at leisure stopping at selected wine estates and enjoying the beauty and tranquillity of this lush area. Stroll through the pretty streets of Franschhoek, with its many pavement cafés, interesting shops and restaurants. Franschhoek is renowned as the food and wine capital of the Cape Winelands, and we recommend you sample some of the fine wines produced here.
Day 3: Depart Cape Town
Spend the morning at leisure, before returning to Cape Town International Airport for your onward journey.
