Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg
On arrival at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) a Thompsons Representative will meet and assist you to your Sun City shuttle transfer (departs at set times). Transfer to Sun City, about a 2 hour drive north of Johannesburg. Check into your selected hotel later today and spend the afternoon exploring the resort.
Day 2: Sun City
Sun City offers entertainment for the whole family, from the exciting Sun City Casino & Entertainment Resort, to the Superbowl with outstanding rock concerts and lavish extravaganzas, two championship golf courses, numerous sporting facilities, as well as a man-made wave pool and so much more!
Day 3: Depart Johannesburg
After breakfast transfer back to OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) by Sun City Shuttle.
Just an hour out of Johannesburg, en route to Sun City, visitors can discover the ‘Cradle of Humankind’. An area of numerous fossil discoveries, the most significant being ‘little foot’, the oldest hominid (pre-modern man) ever unearthed. Tour the Sterkfontein Caves where the hominid was discovered and then move on to the visitors centre at Maropeng (only 5kms away), to enjoy an interactive, multimedia exhibition on hominids, modern man and our impact and significance on the living world. A highly recommended experience! Thompsons Touring & Safaris operates a daily road shuttle transfer beween Johannesburg and Sun City. This shuttle departs 4 times a day at specific times.
