Day 1: Arrive Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you are transferred to your hotel in Arusha, the ideal starting point for safaris into Tanzania’s northern wildlife parks.
Day 2: Arusha / Lake Manyara
Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park, and enjoy a game drive in the National Park. Lake Manyara is one of the most spectacular settings in Africa, comprising savannah grasslands at the edge of the Great Rift Valley.
Day 3: Lake Manyara / Serengeti
Depart for the Serengeti National Park, the oldest and largest National Park in Tanzania. The Serengeti is world renown-ed for one of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom, the annual wildebeest migration. The great migration in the Serengeti is a mass exodus of 1.5 million wildebeest together with half a million zebra, which follow a 500 mile route from Tanzania to Kenya and back to Tanzania, culminating in the south-ern Serengeti.
Day 4: Serengeti
Spend the day game viewing in the Serengeti National Park - undoubtedly the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. The Serengeti boasts the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa.
Day 5: Serengeti / Ngorongoro
Transfer westwards to the protected World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is the largest caldera in the world and the floor of the crater lies 610 metres below the rim. The Ngorongoro Crater is judged by many to be a true natural wonder of the world, incomparable to anything else on earth!
Day 6: Ngorongoro
Descend to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing and sightseeing. The wildlife found in the area, includes over 25 000 larger animals, mostly zebra and wildebeest, living within the crater itself. This is also undoubtedly one of the best places to see black rhino as well as large prides of lion. Other game to look out for includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, wart-hog, buffalo, eland, and antelope.
Day 7: Ngorongoro / Arusha
Depart Ngorongoro and transfer back to Arusha.
Day 8: Depart Arusha
Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward flight.
