Day 1: Arrive Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park (L, D)
After a relaxed breakfast we depart Entebbe and head west to Fort Portal, enjoying a packed lunch en route. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled ‘Mountains of the Moon’ famous for the many tea plantations. We will continue to Kibale National Park, while passing the region of the Crater Lakes. Here we explore some small lakes, before heading to our accommodation for tonight.

Day 2: Kibale Forest National Park / Queen Elizabeth National Park (B, L, D)
After breakfast we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enjoy lunch and relax at the swimming pool before departing on a game drive in search of wildlife, including warthog, buffaloes, waterbucks and elephants.

Day 3: Queen Elizabeth National Park (B, L, D)
This morning we depart on a game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. The abundance of birdlife, elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that converge at the shores to cool off, ensures that this cruise will be one of the highlights of your safari.

Day 4: Queen Elizabeth National Park / Kampala
After breakfast depart for the Maramagambo Forest for a walk through the tropical forest. An alternative to the forest walk is a hike in the Kyambura Wildlife Reserve (not included). You will hike into the gorge of the Kyambura River in search of the wild chimpanzees. After one of these activities we depart Queen Elizabeth National Park and head back towards the capital city with lunch en route, arriving at Kampala in the evening.
