Day 1: Arrive Livingstone
On arrival at Livingstone Airport a Thompsons Representative will meet and transfer you to your lodge. The lodge is set in a riverine forest on the banks of the Zambezi, the ideal place to acclimatize to the pace of Africa. This afternoon enjoy a visit to Victoria Falls, one of the seven Natural Wonders of the World.
Day 2: Livingstone / Lower Zambezi National Park
This morning transfer to Livingstone Airport for your flight to Lower Zambezi. The Lower Zambezi is one of the most beautiful National Parks in Africa and there are a variety of ways to explore this area, on foot, by vehicle or on the river by boat or canoe, whatever your choice the experience will touch the soul.
Day 3 & 4: Lower Zambezi National Park
One of the most amazing ways to explore the beautiful channels of the Zambezi is by canoe – peacefully paddling downstream – watching game at the waters edge undisturbed, is an experience not to be missed. Spend the next few days discovering this stunning park on day or night game drives, canoe trips or walking.
Day 5: Lower Zambezi National Park / South Luangwa National Park
This morning transfer by boat to the airstrip to connect with your light aircraft flight to Mfuwe, to South Luangwa National Park. On arrival at Chichele Presidential Lodge, you will have time to relax and refresh before exploring this legendary National Park. The variety of game here is world renowned. Walking and exploring on night drives makes this park a must on any safari in Zambia.
Day 6 & 7: South Luangwa National Park
Explore this magnificent park – bordered by striking hills and crossed by dry river beds, this park offers a diverse range of habitats which supports a myriad of game and birdlife. South Luangwa is the home of walking safaris – nothing is more exciting that stalking elephant on foot!
Day 8: South Luangwa National Park
Depart Lusaka or Livingstone. This morning transfer by light aircraft to Lusaka/Livingstone for your on-ward journey. Please note: When travelling in Zambia by light aircraft, the luggage limit is 12kg packed in a soft bag including hand luggage and photographic equipment
